The Class Produce Group is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee daily transportation operations, routing, and dispatching, while ensuring safety, compliance, and performance of drivers in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead dispatchers, coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and customer service to meet delivery deadlines, manage the driver master schedule, and support training and onboarding for new hires.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; high school diploma with experience acceptable.
• Experience in transportation management or supervision required.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA regulations is important.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily transportation activities including scheduling, routing, and dispatching.
• Coach and train dispatchers on procedures and communication.
• Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and customer service to meet deadlines.
• Monitor driver performance and support onboarding and policy adherence.
• Manage the driver master schedule and overnight operations.
• Coordinate DOT/OSHA/HOS/ELD compliance with safety specialists.
• Review daily route reports and assist with safety investigations.

Description

The Dispatch Supervisor oversees daily logistics, routing, and dispatch operations while managing key administrative, safety, and compliance functions. This role serves as a frontline leader ensuring driver performance, vehicle readiness, and third-party business growth meet company standards in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Supervises daily transportation activities, including the scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles to maximize efficiency.


• Team Leadership: Coaches and trains dispatchers on routine procedures, communication protocols, and problem-solving.


• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborates with logistics, warehouse, and customer service teams to meet delivery deadlines and optimize supply chain efficiency.


• Performance Management: Partners with the Transportation Manager to monitor driver performance, assist with hiring/onboarding, and ensure strict adherence to company policies.


• Scheduling & Attendance: Manages and updates the driver master schedule. Serves as the primary point of contact for attendance and overnight operations.


• Safety & Compliance: Coordinates with the DOT Compliance Specialist to enforce DOT, OSHA, Hours of Service (HOS), and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) compliance.


• Reporting & Documentation: Reviews Daily Route Reports, manages file maintenance, and helps the safety director to conduct thorough accident and injury investigations.


• Training Support: Coordinates with drivers to ensure all required training certifications and attendance documentation are up to date.


• Availability: Remains on-call as necessary to support 24/7 fleet operations.


• Other Duties: Performs other operational and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

Education Requirements

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.


• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent combined with 2+ years of transportation management or supervisory experience.

Training, Skills, & Licenses

• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), DOT, and OSHA regulations.


• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), fleet tracking software, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).


• Core Competencies: Strong multitasking skills, excellent verbal/written communication, and proven conflict-resolution abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

• This position is located in an office environment with moderate to low noise levels and is typically sedentary. Daily use of a computer and phone system is necessary as well as interaction with staff, customers, and vendors.
