Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) is seeking a Transportation Technician III to serve as a lead inspector on transportation construction projects. The role includes supervising inspection staff, verifying compliance with plans and specifications, and coordinating with agencies and contractors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or related field with 5 years of technician level experience.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Experience analyzing and interpreting highway construction plans.
• Thorough understanding of DOT standards and specifications and roadway drawings.

Responsabilités

• Inspect contractor operations on transportation projects to verify conformance to plans and specs.
• Supervise inspection staff during construction.
• Measure and track quantities of pay items.
• Maintain records: material certifications, testing reports, and diaries.
• Interact with the public, agencies, and contractors to respond to inquiries and resolve field issues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
