Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Morton, IL is seeking a transportation systems expert to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team. You will focus on Blue Yonder systems, system development, automation, and partner with global teams to deliver reliable transportation solutions.

You will troubleshoot issues, drive continuous improvement, implement AI opportunities, and translate business needs into IT requirements. This is an on-site, first-shift role with travel up to 10% and no relocation or sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience with transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Blue Yonder.
• Experience supporting, configuring, or improving business systems and applications.
• Strong process automation and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for transportation systems, including Blue Yonder.
• Support and enhance transportation management systems and related technology.
• Troubleshoot system issues and partner with technical teams to fix bugs.
• Lead continuous improvement to streamline processes and drive standardization.
• Identify opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, and AI in transportation.
• Translate operational needs into system solutions and enhancements.
• Support system implementations and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Develop and document system processes and provide end-user training.
• Manage long-term strategic projects while addressing urgent issues.
