Join to apply for the Transportation Support Services Supervisor role at Penske Logistics

Position Summary: Responsible for the daily shift operations of the Transportation Support Services (TSS) call center. Ensure the department is staffed adequately to meet business demands. Resolve issues that impact daily operations and ensure team meets established department goals.

Schedule: This position supports a 24/7 operation; flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Monitor team productivity and performance
  • Ensure proper staffing requirements are met daily
  • Motivate team to achieve goals
  • Follow up on customer requests via email and phone
  • Coach and resolve escalated customer service issues
  • Manage performance: interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, counseling
  • Implement initiatives to improve team performance and customer satisfaction
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred
  • Ability to build rapport with associates and customers
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and active listening
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with process improvement and change leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Regular attendance
  • Willingness to travel, work schedule as required, pass background and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to read, communicate, analyze information
  • Stand, walk, sit; lift up to 25 lbs
  • Visual abilities: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception
