UNFI is hiring a Transportation Supervisor in Commerce, CA to coordinate the daily operations of the Transportation Department and supervise drivers and staff. You will implement schedules, monitor daily functions, and communicate with customers to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires leadership, knowledge of transportation regulations, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced distribution environment. Strong computer skills and DOT compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation or grocery distribution preferred.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Knowledge of government transportation regulations.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Proficient with core MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Access).

Responsabilités

• Routes and schedules loads for distribution to customers using available personnel and equipment.
• Ensure merchandise is delivered in optimal condition.
• Coordinate with Warehouse for delivery timing.
• Assign drivers to loads in compliance with company and DOT guidelines.
• Maintain positive relations with store management via calls and visits.
• Ensure drivers and department staff comply with laws and company policies.
