Job summary

UNFI in Commerce, CA is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to assist management in supervising drivers and staff within the Transportation Department. You will implement schedules, departure times, and daily functions, ensuring changes are coordinated efficiently and communicated to customers.

Responsibilities include routing loads, coordinating with Warehouse for timing, ensuring on-time deliveries in good condition, and supervising drivers to comply with DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation supervision or management preferred.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• Solid knowledge of federal, state and local transportation regulations (DOT) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routes and schedules loads for distribution to customers, using personnel and equipment efficiently.
• Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure proper timing for delivery schedules and maintain on-time performance.
• Supervise drivers and department staff; ensure compliance with company policies and regulations; manage weekly/monthly reports.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding transportation matters and changes.
