Job summary

Stantec’s New York City office is seeking an intern for the 2027 Spring Term to support our Structural team on infrastructure design projects. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills and build your network for future success.

Position will primarily be in an office setting with some field work; full-time or part-time hours during Spring 2027. Pay ranges provided; benefits include health, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum exposure to CAD Design programs (AutoCAD/MicroStation).
• Experience in Revit and/or OpenBridge is preferred.
• Willingness to take initiative and learn new skills.
• Strong communication skills in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Currently enrolled in a Civil/Structural Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and reports for structural projects.
• Perform CAD drafting, drawing checks, quantity take-offs, and simple structural calculations.
• Support field inspections and coordination for infrastructure projects in NYC.
