Job summary
LJA Transportation in Texas seeks a Structural Engineer to design concrete and steel structures—including retaining walls, lift stations, pump stations, and treatment plants—for public and private clients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, apply sound engineering judgment, and mentor junior staff in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities include design calculations, plans, and documents for TxDOT, MUDs, LIDs, and other entities, plus interaction with clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
- Experience with AASHTO LRFD, ACI, AISC, or IBC.
- Strong communication with employee-owners.
Responsibilities
- Design calculations, plans and design documents for civil structures.
- Design concrete and steel structures such as retaining walls and pump stations.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, clients and consultants.
- Mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
- Support other sectors within the firm as needed.
- Engage in team lunches, breakfasts, and social activities.
