Job summary

LJA Transportation, an employee-owned firm, is seeking a Project Manager to lead design and coordination on TxDOT and local government projects. You will apply advanced engineering concepts, exercise independent judgment, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer
• 10+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak (or Open Roads) and TxDOT procedures
• Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners, clients, agencies, and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations, prepare plans, and direct schematic designs for TxDOT and local government projects.
• Manage and maintain project schedules and financial requirements.
• Use advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices.
• Interact with clients and other consultants.
• Exercise judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
