Benesch is seeking a Structural Designer in Milwaukee, WI to work on transportation projects for state and local agencies. You will perform engineering models, analysis, and/or designs, and support calculations and documentation while coordinating drafting for client projects.

The role emphasizes data collection, design development, and collaboration in a deadline-driven environment with opportunities for field inspections and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.
• E.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred.
• Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Willingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks; may require travel to project sites.

Responsabilités

• Collect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis and/or design calculations of project elements.
• Draw design details under direction of others.
• Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items.
• Organize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards.
• Coordinate drafting of an element.
• Perform field or site visits as needed.
• Develop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software.
