Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking a transportation & stormwater professional to plan, design and deliver infrastructure projects in Arkansas and beyond. You will work on roadways, sidewalks, trails, and drainage systems, collaborating with experienced engineers to advance technical and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Arkansas PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with roadway and drainage design software listed above.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects.
• Assist project management: scope, schedule, budget, staffing, client coordination.
• Develop PS&E, preliminary reports, schematic designs, and cost estimates.
• Perform roadway and highway design, geometry, drainage, and construction details.
• Coordinate survey, geotechnical work, CAD production, and interdisciplinary design.
• Provide mentorship and oversee engineering staff.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and resources for client satisfaction.
• Communicate with clients, agencies, contractors, and team members.
• Conduct field visits and ensure compliance with design intent and regs.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field

Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Arkansas or ability to obtain within 6 months
