Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, seeks a transportation and stormwater professional to join our Little Rock team. You will assist planning, design, and delivery of roadways, trails, and drainage projects across Arkansas.

Collaborate with engineers and designers to prepare plans, calculations, and supporting documentation while adhering to standards and schedules. Some travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience or willingness to learn ORD, MicroStation, GeoPak, AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Synchro, SIDRA, and RODEL is advantageous.
• Ability to prepare drawings, models, and calculations with attention to detail.
• Understanding of transportation and stormwater design principles and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design, and production of transportation, roadway, multi-use trail, and stormwater drainage projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings, exhibits, models, and project deliverables under supervision.
• Develop plans, specs, estimates, and construction details.
• Assist with roadway and highway design including geometry and drainage.
• Utilize design software to prepare plan sheets and profiles.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and other team members.
• Assist with data collection, site visits, and field observations.
• Prepare technical calculations and drainage analyses.
• Support project teams in meeting schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain project files and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate project status and technical issues with the team.
