# TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST IICORP Office - Mckinney, TX 75070## Description### Education / Licensing Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Major in business, management, logistics, and/or supply chain management### Experience Requirements:4-5+ year of industry experience**Position Overview**:Works within a small collaborative team to ensure efficient customer delivery that includes identification, fulfillment, and management of capacity, billing/invoicing and settlement activity, and carrier/customer relations. The goal is to improve transportation and logistics operations, while increasing efficiency and reducing costs. Responsible for leading and improving structures to timely process settlements of all orders for the transportation team. Research and addresses issues that arise within the life-cycle of any order, which may include contacting delivery partners, communicating with department managers, and or customers.### ### ### Responsibilities:Project Management:* Leads, supports, and monitors strategic projects/department initiatives.* Leads action plans and scheduling to improve processes and efficiency.* Oversees transportation associate and specialist.* Develops price books for new contracts and reviews contract language.* Creates financial tools and streamline processes for quoting and contracting pricing.* Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.* Ensures daily balancing reports and closing are completed by teamCustomer/Carrier Support:* Effectively handles high volume of inbound and outbound calls.* Thoroughly notes all collection activity and follow up on item until final resolution is complete.* Negotiating rates and establishing clear communication on carrier payment terms* Builds and maintains a positive business relationship with internal/external customers.* Identifies and communicates opportunities for process improvements.* Maintains files and documents thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy* Monitors processes, analyzes issues and ensures compliance.* Performs other incidental and related duties as required.* Ensures timely, accurate preparation and distribution of customer invoices.* Builds and manages relationships to ensure quick resolution on customer billing.* Assists with projects as assigned.* Identifies carrier payment discrepancies and supervises dispute resolution.* Performs other incidental and related duties as required.## Qualifications### Working Conditions:* Fast-paced environment.* Requires normal vision (corrected) both close and distant.* Requires normal hearing levels (corrected).* Requires working at a desk to use a phone and computer for extended periods of time.
