Job summary

Amazon is building the earth’s best transportation and logistics business in Nashville, TN. The Transportation Specialist will analyze data, resolve payment disputes for carrier partners, and support daily freight movements into and out of the North American fulfillment network.

You will pull data from databases using Excel, Access, and SQL to assist dispute resolution, identify root causes of defects, and drive efficiency in operations.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience.
  • 1+ years of customer service or back-office roles in corporate environments.
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Are 18 years of age or older.
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Continual, tactical communication with external customers and internal customers.
  • Resolve Trip Status payment disputes for carrier partners by investigating claims and ensuring compliance with Amazon’s policies and SLA.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple cases while meeting or exceeding established daily resolutions goals.
  • Pull data from numerous databases (Excel, Access, SQL) to assist with disputes case resolution.
  • Identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in transportation operations.
  • Escalate problems or variance in information to relevant owners and teams and follow through on resolutions.
  • Provide communication, both verbal and written, to carriers sharing findings and details of case resolution.

Within Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), the Carrier Services team plays a key role in supporting carrier partners who transport goods for Amazon. Our team resolves payment issues related to daily freight movements into and out of our North American fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high visibility team in the fastest growing new market in Amazon’s portfolio. The Payment Disputes Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Specialist to assist in the resolution of stakeholder issues of daily freight movements flowing into and out of our North American fulfillment centers and our associated fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon. The person in this position will pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a high-pressur e environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide communication, both verbal and written as you will be required to respond to carriers sharing findings and details regarding the case resolution
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) experience
  • 1+ years of customer service or back-office roles in corporate environments experience
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
