Job summary

Idexcel in Santa Ana, CA invites a Logistics Operation Coordinator (Air & Ocean) to join our team. You will manage end-to-end freight operations, track shipments across time zones, and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

The role requires hands-on air and ocean freight experience, plus a solid understanding of regulatory and ERP systems. You will maintain daily reports, monitor on-time departures, and resolve shipment exceptions to ensure smooth global delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics coordination.
• Prefer candidates with both Air and Ocean Operations experience. If both are not available, candidates must have 3+ years of Air Operations experience. Ocean Operations experience is preferred but not required.
• Hands-on experience in international Air, Ocean, and OTR freight forwarding operations is required
• Proven experience managing transload warehouse operations and Truckload (TL) dispatch.
• Strong understanding of international air and ocean freight regulations, and customs procedures
• Proficiency with ERP and logistics systems (SAP, TMS, WMS or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain daily tracking reports for Air Export, Ocean Import, OTR, and weekend operations.
• Track air cargo, ocean containers, and rail intermodal shipments in real time from origin through final delivery.
• Monitor and confirm on-time departures from U.S. ocean terminals, ports, airports, and other transportation hubs.
• Coordinate air export bookings with airlines and freight forwarders, considering transit time, capacity, service requirements, and cost.
• Prepare and review MAWB, HAWB, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, SLI, and export declarations.
• Coordinate warehouse activities including cargo receiving, security screening, palletizing, and ULD build-up.
• Manage export customs clearance and coordinate responses to customs examinations, holds, and documentation issues.
• Track flight departures, transshipment milestones, final arrival, and delivery status, proactively resolving exceptions.
• Validate Import of Documentation (IOD) and Proof of Delivery (POD) on a daily basis.
• Respond promptly to shipment exceptions, including delays, damages, customs holds, flight cancellations, rollovers, offloads, and rebookings.
• Communicate shipment status, milestones, delays, and corrective actions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, logistics partners, customers, and internal supply chain teams.
• Handle claims, documentation issues, escalations, and service exceptions through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Perform other logistics and supply-chain duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This position requires hands-on experience in Air or Ocean Freight Operations, along with solid ocean freight knowledge. As our operation supports global transportation across multiple time zones, this position follows a five-day work schedule that includes weekend shifts based on operational requirements.
