Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager Transportation Solutions to lead the site’s transportation operations and financial performance. You will drive strategic initiatives, develop associates, manage budgets, and ensure customer requirements are met with best-in-class logistics solutions.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and collaboration with customers and carrier partners to optimize costs and service levels.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Transportation, Logistics, Management, or related field or equivalent experience, required
• Master’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business, or related field, preferred
• 4+ years of experience in domestic and/or international Supply Chain and/or Transportation operations, required
• For International roles, will ideally include freight forwarding, ocean, international air freight (parcel/cargo), customs brokerage, etc.
• For Domestic Roles, will ideally include TL, LTL, Intermodal, Rail, and Parcel, required
• Previous experience in a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) Transportation Management role, preferred

Responsibilities

• Maximize the site operating and financial performance via leadership and development of associates; manage tactical activities and analytics; execute to customer requirements/expectations
• Develop logistics strategies with the customer for cost-effective, efficient supply chains
• Lead MBRs/QBRs and manage carrier relations and pricing programs
• Provide subject matter expertise on Managed Transportation capabilities and strategies
• Ensure safe, compliant, and fair work environment; conduct performance reviews and career development plans
• Enforce SOPs and site policies; manage budget and financial forecasting
