DHL Supply Chain seeks a Senior Transportation General Manager to lead our Lancaster, TX delivery site. This nationally salaried role requires full P&L responsibility and ongoing leadership of a dedicated transportation network.

The ideal candidate will bring strong budgets, cost control, and performance focus to a fast-paced operation. The role emphasizes site leadership, contract administration, and adherence to SOPs while driving safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years logistics industry experience.
• 5-7 years experience in supervisory/management role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer/vendor contract requirements are administered and enforced.
• Maximize site inventory management system performance for care, custody, and control of customer inventory, productivity and space utilization, accuracy, and IT utilization.
• Ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for associates.
• Implement associate performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning.
• Ensure site operates to routines outlined in site SOPs and interaction matrix.
• Communicate and enforce company policies (accounting, operational, regulatory, administrative).
• Lead turnover management among hourly and management staff.
• Ensure staff have necessary tools and that tools are maintained.
• Oversee workshop action plans, projects, and best-practice sharing/implementation.
• Develop/achieve budget, revenue, and site P&L; review with client.
• Follow Customer Billing SOP and train associates in invoicing.

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Senior Transportation General Manager to lead our dedicated delivery site in the Lancaster, TX area. Candidates must have proven experience serving as the primary site leader with full responsibility for managing their own dynamic domestic transportation network. Experience leading a dedicated delivery operation is strongly preferred.

This role also requires strong P&L experience, including the ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive financial performance. Priority consideration will be given to candidates currently located in the Dallas–;Fort Worth, Texas, area.

The Transportation General Manager I role has a national salary range of $120,000 - $155,000

Job Description

• Ensure customer/vendor contract requirements are administered and enforced.
• Maximize the performance of the site inventory management system to ensure: Care, custody, and control of customer inventory, Productivity and space utilization (efficient product placement, etc.),Accuracy (to floor and customer book),Proper utilization of information technology
• Ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for associates.
• Implement associate performance reviews, individual development plans and succession plans.
• Ensure site operates to the routines outlined in the site interaction matrix and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure company policies are communicated, administered, and enforced (i.e., accounting, operational, regulatory, and administrative).
• Take an active leadership role in managing turnover to the appropriate level (among hourly and management staff).
• Ensure associates and supervisory staff have proper access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned duties and that the tools are routinely accounted for and adequately maintained.
• Oversee execution of workshop action plans, projects and best practice sharing / implementation.
• Develop/achieve budget(s), revenue, profit (P&L) for site, and review agreed upon budget with client.
• Follow established Customer Billing SOP, as well as ensure associates at facility are properly trained in creation/submission of invoices to customer.
• Develop/achieve the annual site operating plan and goals; review plans and goals with client.
• Monitor service levels and customer satisfaction to ensure performance meets customer/vendor, and DHL Supply Chain (balanced scorecard) contractual requirements. Report on performance measures.
• Lead and provide direction to site workload planning and volume forecasting (i.e., staffing, equipment, space).
