Bring your customer service skills to the Hermiston DMV as a bilingual transportation services representative. In this role, you will assist the public with obtaining a driver license, registering vehicles and issuing permits and license plates. In addition, you will administer knowledge, skill and vision tests to potential drivers, ensure correct fees are collected, provide information about regulations and policies and administer behind-the-wheel drive tests. We provide the training you need to make decisions using vehicle laws, agency policies and regulations.
This position requires the ability to speak and read Spanish fluently. Indicate your Spanish speaking and reading skills in the application questionnaire.

Two years of public contact/customer service experience which involved dealing with the public in person or by phone providing information about services/programs or explaining and/or applying rules, regulations and procedures;
AND Experience or training using computers to retrieve and input data; AND Three months experience collecting money and making change.
Completion of an associate’s degree will substitute for one year of the public contact experience.
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid US driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
