Salary Information: The salary range for Peoria, IL (PIA - General Downing/Peoria International Airport) is $40,332 to $56,282 or $19.33 to $26.97 per hour, including a locality pay of 17.06%.
This position is located in the Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSO), you will provide security and protection of air travelers, airports, and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner. To qualify for the SV-D pay band (equivalent to GS-5/6), you must meet one of the following:
Credit for experience is based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited proportionally. Volunteer experience through National Service programs or other organizations is also credited if it builds relevant skills.
Full-time: 40 hours/week, including irregular shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends. Part-time: 16-32 hours/week, with similar shift types.
No relocation or pre-employment travel expenses paid. This is not a law enforcement position.
