The Transportation Safety Manager is responsible for developing and training current and future Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors.

Essential Functions:
- Train Bus Drivers and Bus Monitors on the policies and procedures of monitoring and driving responsibilities, including bus evacuation training and the process of obtaining CDL licensing for drivers.
- Maintain Driver/Monitor Training Records.
- Develop and maintain Driver/Monitor training programs.
- Schedule First Aid/CPR classes.
- Schedule Bus Evacuation Training.
- Maintain PQ Registry of Drivers/Monitors.
- Perform observations of Drivers/Monitors.
- Maintain Accident and Drug & Alcohol Logs.
- Keep Drivers current on FMSCA rules.
- Keep CDL Drivers current with licensing.
- Follow Transportation policies and procedures as outlined.
- Uphold the values of CTI - Equity, Integrity, Compassion.
Qualifications:
- Pass Pre-Employment Drug Test.
- Valid CDL A or B with P and S Endorsements.
- 2 Years of Experience in supervising Pupil Transportation.
- 3 Years Clear MVR of Violation/Accidents.
- Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate students and collaborate with others around program issues, and team teaching.
- Valid Massachusetts School Bus Drivers Certificate.
- Valid School Bus Driver Instructor Certificate for 2 years
- Certified Passenger Safety Technician.
- Pass CORI/SORI/DCF/Fingerprinting background checks.
- Proficient Computer Skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and comfort learning new software and tracking systems.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Evidence of recent Mantoux test, physical exam and MMR Vaccine
Education: High School or Equivalent
Licensures: Valid CDL A or B with P and S endorsements
