Job summary

Safework, a leading construction management firm in Los Angeles, seeks a Construction Safety Professional to join the Safety Team. The role focuses on overseeing contractor safety, audits, reporting, and training to drive safe project outcomes.

Candidate must have 5+ years in heavy/civil construction management, OSHA 30, and CHST or equivalent certification; ASP/CSP or safety degree is preferred. Strong communication and IMS skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a full time Heavy/Civil construction management role.
  • OSHA 30 Hour certification is required.
  • OSHA 500 Trainer Certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills in information management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the Safety Team to provide oversight of contractor safety program
  • Conduct audits of contractor safety programs & field activities as directed
  • Provide reports, as directed, on the contractor's safety performance
  • Report, within the Safety Team, on project safety activities and performance
  • Attend regular safety meetings
  • Work with the Safety Team to provide training as needed
  • Respond to accidents/incidents on the project as directed
