Job summary

Safework, an established construction management firm in Los Angeles, seeks an experienced Construction Safety Professional to join the Safety Team. You will oversee contractor safety programs, conduct audits, report on safety performance, and participate in training and incident response.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy/civil construction, OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certifications, CHST/SP or degree in safety is desirable, and strong communication and computer skills to manage information

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a full time Heavy/Civil construction management role.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification required.
• OSHA 500 Trainer Certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of contractor safety program.
• Conduct audits of contractor safety programs and field activities.
• Provide reports on contractor safety performance.
• Report on project safety activities and performance within the Safety Team.
• Attend regular safety meetings.
• Provide training as needed.
