Job summary

Safework in Anaheim, CA is seeking a highly motivated Construction Safety Professional to join our Safety Team on major civil projects. The role emphasizes oversight of contractor safety programs, site audits, and performance reporting.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in heavy/civil construction, CHST or equivalent, OSHA 30, and relevant rail/bridges/road experience. ASP/CSP or safety degree is preferred, with potential 6-month certification window.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a full time Heavy/Civil construction management role.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification.
• OSHA 500 Trainer Certification preferred.
• Experience on large transportation projects including design-build programs.
• Experience on Rail (Heavy/Light), Bridges, Roads, Utility Relocation, and similar construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor safety program within the Safety Team.
• Conduct audits of contractor safety programs and field activities.
• Provide reports on contractor safety performance as directed.
• Report on project safety activities and performance within the Safety Team.
• Attend regular safety meetings.
• Provide training as needed and respond to accidents/incidents on the project.
