Energy Jobline ZR in the United States is seeking a Safety Specialist responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. The role focuses on reducing accidents and promoting a culture of safety for drivers and operations.

You will monitor DOT/FMCSA/OSHA compliance, conduct audits and risk assessments, review logs and HOS, investigate incidents, and deliver training.

Qualifications

• Experience with federal, state, and company safety regulations.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Strong analytical skills for safety metrics and audits.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and enforce compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of drivers, vehicles, and facilities.
• Review driver logs (ELDs), hours of service (HOS), and safety records for compliance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and corrective action plans.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for drivers and staff (e.g., defensive driving, compliance).
• Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports for regulatory audits.
• Track and analyze safety metrics (accident frequency, violations, CSA scores).
• Collaborate with operations and dispatch teams to ensure safe scheduling and routing.
• Conduct new driver safety orientations and ongoing coaching.
• Recommend and implement improvements to safety policies and procedures.
