Job summary

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Assistant Regional Manager in our Transportation business unit. This role requires 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

The candidate will interact with clients, staff, and vendors, lead PS&E development, perform transportation analyses, and guide projects for municipal, county, and state agencies. A valid PE license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Critical thinking and analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff of all levels.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Lead a team to develop engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E).
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations.
• Lead general transportation engineering services for municipal, county, and state agencies.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and feasibility studies.
