Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Five years of traffic engineering experience including project management.
• Master’s degree plus four years of relevant experience also qualifies.
• Professional Engineer license; Texas license within six months after appointment.
• Hours: 8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages transportation projects for the City of Dallas from conception to completion.
• Tracks budgets, schedules, and scope; coordinates staff and contracts.
• Learns and implements new processes to support transportation goals.
• Plans budgets and labor/expenses; handles contract requirements.
• Processes internal requests for meetings, documents, and updates.
• Researches and communicates project goals; fosters collaboration.
• Provides direction for staff involved in transportation projects.
• Performs other work as needed.
