Job summary

Group PMX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a focus on transportation infrastructure to support planning, execution, and delivery of projects. You will work with Project Managers, engineers, clients, and agencies to ensure schedules, budgets, quality, and objectives are met.

The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, and proactive risk management across highways, bridges, transit, rail, and airport initiatives. A related Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Construction Management, Civil/Transportation Engineering.
• 2–5 years in project coordination or assistant PM roles in transportation/infrastructure.
• Experience with highways, bridges, transit, rail, airports, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6, or similar PM tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with DOT/public-sector project delivery processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for transportation projects.
• Coordinate meetings, track action items, and maintain project documentation.
• Facilitate communication between internal teams, clients, agencies, consultants, and vendors.
• Monitor progress and identify risks, issues, and schedule impacts.
• Support planning, permitting, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries for leadership.
