Civil Engineering Project Manager – Transportation

Location: Hybrid | Multiple Office Locations
Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

A leading multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to oversee transportation projects and ensure successful delivery from concept to completion. This position requires a hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge in civil and transportation engineering, project management experience, and a passion for building sustainable, community-enhancing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage transportation engineering projects including highways, structures, and traffic systems.

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, invoicing, and quality control.

  • Serve as the main liaison for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.

  • Prepare construction bid packages and direct internal design staff.

  • Lead project communications and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development and knowledge-sharing.

  • Support proposal development and business growth efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience: 8–15 years of transportation engineering experience; prior project management preferred.

  • Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MicroStation, P&ID interpretation, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Project Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and bid preparation.
