Position: Regional Transportation Construction Project Manager (RPM)
Status: Exempt

Essential Functions
- Project level client management
- Manage and anticipate all staffing needs for projects managed
- Assist in planning recruitment, training, and hiring of new field inspectors. Communicate with inspectors to provide start times, field office locations, and project expectations.
- Participate in tracking project labor and expense funding for CM/CI
- New hire onboarding: review Penn DOT/PTC paperwork, train on RIG timesheet systems, and provide basic field inspection overview if necessary.
- Partner with other departments to anticipate future needs/issues and develop action plans for solutions
- Review new projects with current inspectors and coordinate with supervisors
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assign qualified inspectors to projects
- Assist with ECMS tasks such as wage rate adjustments, proposals, invoice reconciliation, and creating new inspectors/employees
- Review inspector resumes and project details to match qualifications
- Coordinate nominations and placements with Prime PM
- Manage project lifecycle data within Deltek, ECMS, and other software
- Track certification processes
- Lead training and supervision of field inspectors
- Mentor and develop reporting employees
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including safety gear regulations
- Occasional travel to project sites in Western PA for inspector check-ins and support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of highway construction inspection for Penn DOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
- Ability to work effectively with DOT clients and project managers
- Detail-oriented with strong tracking of timelines and budgets
- Exceptional time management, analytical, and communication skills
- Leadership, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with collaboration and time management software
- Understanding of complex mathematical concepts
