Job summary

BETA Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager to lead and grow the Connecticut transportation practice, overseeing complex municipal projects from planning to construction.

You will manage scope, budgets, schedules, and client expectations while mentoring staff and expanding clientrelationships in New England. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in highway design, PE license, and strong business development skills, with hybrid work options and collaboration across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• 15+ years of related engineering experience in highway design and transportation.
• Strong project management experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, ArcGIS/Pro.
• Experience with CTDOT, MassDOT, ConnDOT standards and MUTCD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead municipal transportation projects from planning through construction.
• Manage scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, quality, risk, and client expectations.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with municipal clients and agencies.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within CT municipalities.
• Lead pursuits, proposals, and contract negotiations with clients.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive projects.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff and provide technical guidance.
