Job summary

SCJ Alliance seeks a dynamic Transportation Engineer to provide technical oversight and design expertise from our Seattle office. The role focuses on corridor and highway design, signalized intersections, and downtown revitalization projects within a collaborative team environment.

Ideal candidates bring a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and 4+ years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and InRoads.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of progressively responsible transportation engineering experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to organize, delegate, and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives, policies, and performance expectations; create and execute work plans; assign resources and manage day-to-day scope.
• Initiate and maintain client relationships; set expectations and communicate needs; represent the company in meetings.
• Provide oversight of project staff; develop design alternatives; supervise staff in PS&E preparation and QA/QC.
• Complete project documents; draft and finalize reports; review deliverables before client submission.
