Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our growing Transportation team in Seattle, WA. This role will support planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects for public sector clients including state DOTs, counties, municipalities, and local agencies, with emphasis on roadway design and highway projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, a Washington PE license, 5+ years of transportation experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State.
• Minimum 5+ years of transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with roadway, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects for DOT, municipal, and public agency clients.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with roadway design including plan and profiles, cross sections, corridor modeling, and grading.
• Strong understanding of AASHTO, MUTCD, and applicable state DOT standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support roadway and transportation design projects including highways, arterials, collectors, intersections, and local roadways.
• Prepare and review Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E).
• Develop roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading plans, and corridor models.
• Coordinate roadway drainage integration and utility considerations.
• Develop construction documents and 3D roadway models using transportation design software.
• Coordinate with traffic, drainage, utility, geotechnical, environmental, and structural teams.
• Ensure compliance with AASHTO, MUTCD, state DOT, and local agency standards.
• May perform QA/QC reviews of plans, calculations, and technical deliverables.
• May support project delivery, scheduling efforts, and client coordination.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination.
