J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah, is seeking an Engineer-in-Training focused on Transportation to join our Transportation Services Group.

The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on local and state transportation projects, using MicroStation/OpenRoads to produce alignments and plans, and supporting project delivery and client engagement. Requirements include a BA/BS in Civil Engineering and an EIT certification, with 0–5 years of transportation experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification required.
• 0-5 years of transportation engineering experience.
• MicroStation/OpenRoads design experience is desired.
• Strong communication skills and a focus on quality deliverables.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• History of working on projects with UDOT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams on transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs.
• Operate CAD (MicroStation/OpenRoads) to create alignments, models and plans.
• Work with Project Engineer or Project Manager and report direction.
• Analyze data and prepare engineering documents and memos.
• Assist in business development by building client relationships.
• Attend client meetings and public meetings to discuss project details.
• Coordinate with utility companies and conduct field observations.
