Job summary

CFS Brands in Ellabell, GA is seeking a Shipping Manager to coordinate inbound and outbound transportation for the Savannah distribution center. You will ensure freight moves through the right mode, carrier, and appointment at the right cost, while monitoring load planning and demurrage risks to protect operational cost and service.

You’ll manage daily container planning for ocean, drayage, LTL, truckload, and parcel shipments, align with warehouse operations and carriers, and drive improvement

Qualifications

• 3+ years in transportation or logistics roles.
• Experience scheduling inbound/outbound shipments in a DC or similar setting.
• Knowledge of LTL, truckload, ocean, drayage, and parcel transportation processes.
• Proficient in evaluating freight quotes, consolidation opportunities, and cost-conscious routing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound shipments across ocean containers, drayage, truckload, LTL, parcel, and other modes.
• Coordinate shipment priorities with warehouse operations, customer service, and carriers.
• Monitor routing-guide compliance and identify opportunities for consolidation or mode shifts.
• Review quotes and shipment profiles to optimize cost and service.
• Maintain a daily container plan and reduce demurrage and detention charges.
