Job summary

CFS Brands is seeking an Operations Manager - Shipping to oversee inbound/outbound transportation for the Savannah distribution center in Ellabell, GA. The role focuses on cost-conscious routing, load planning, and carrier coordination to support ~3,000 ocean containers annually.

You will work on-site in a 500,000 sq ft DC with cross-functional collaboration across warehouses, customer service, and carriers to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in transportation, shipping, logistics planning, freight operations, or related field.
• Experience scheduling inbound/outbound shipments in distribution, manufacturing, or 3PL environments.
• Knowledge of LTL, truckload, ocean-container, drayage, and parcel processes.
• Ability to compare freight quotes, identify consolidation opportunities, and make cost-conscious routing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound shipments across ocean containers, drayage, truckload, LTL, parcel, and other modes.
• Coordinate shipment priorities with warehouse operations, customer service, order entry, suppliers, carriers, and brokers.
• Monitor least-cost-carrier routing, considering service and capacity requirements.
• Review LTL quotes and shipment profiles to identify consolidation or shift to truckload; document decisions.
• Support and improve the order-to-ship workflow from entry to shipment confirmation.
• Maintain a daily container plan and work with dray providers to level-load appointments and prevent delays.
