Job summary

City of Renton’s Public Works Transportation Systems Division seeks a Program Development Coordinator 1 or 2 to guide multi‑modal planning, budgeting, and project delivery. You will assist with the Transportation Capital Improvement Program and grant administration.

The role emphasizes collaboration and equity, with hybrid telework up to 2 days. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are required; salary placement reflects education, experience and skill set.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience in civil engineering, transportation planning, or program management is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and successful background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Transportation Planning in planning activities and analyses.
• Assist in managing the Transportation Capital Improvement Program.
• Prepare Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program descriptions, costs, scheduling, and funding sources.
• Develop and maintain grant administration processes to comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with finance staff on reports and agreements with grant agencies.
