Job summary

MnDOT in St. Paul, MN is seeking a Principal Planner to provide professional planning analysis and leadership in performance-based planning and investment strategies for the 20-year State Highway Investment Plan (MnSHIP), the 10-year Capital Highway Investment Plan (CHIP), the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and related planning studies.

Qualifications

• Two years of advanced professional transportation planning experience.
• Experience with spreadsheet, GIS and/or database applications.
• Experience facilitating meetings with a range of technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional planning analysis and leadership in MnSHIP, CHIP, STIP and related studies.
• Lead performance-based planning, performance measurement, investment analysis and corridor planning.
• Coordinate outreach and drive department initiatives across planning and programming processes.
