Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead daily transportation operations, ensuring on-time performance and safety across a large team. You will monitor routing, coach drivers, and optimize processes using XATA and CADEC to meet company goals.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years in transportation or food distribution with supervisory experience, plus familiarity with union environments and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or psychology.
• 3–6 years of experience in transportation or food distribution, with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in union work environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor day-to-day transportation operations, analyzing on-time reports and manpower needs.
• Review and schedule daily routing of equipment and manpower to meet customer needs.
• Resolve equipment failures and coordinate repairs with leasing/maintenance providers.
• Motivate and evaluate employees to maintain a positive work environment.
• Supervise staff, interpret rules in a union environment, and take disciplinary action as required.
• Update routing programs daily and review driver reports to meet efficiency goals.
• Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary.
