Job summary

Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is seeking an on-site Supervisory Transportation Coordinator to lead day-to-day transportation operations in a 24/7 environment. You will direct facility supervisors, schedule routes, and coordinate maintenance to meet KPIs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including team supervision.
• AA degree preferred (vocational/technical accepted), forklift instructor certification a plus
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, food handling, and inventory best practices
• Proficiency in computer systems and reporting (barcoding, warehouse systems, timekeeping)
• Ability to lead a diverse team in a 24/7 operation with a focus on collaboration, safety, and efficiency
• Experience working in (or around) union environments - union background a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the day-to-day transportation functions to meet efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness standards.
• Establishes and communicates department goals and monitors performance.
• Provides training, development, and performance evaluations of department staff with HR involvement.
• Directs routing, manpower, and equipment schedules to meet KPIs.
• Coordinates repairs and maintenance for tractors/trailers with Penske to comply with regulations.
• Develops, audits, and manages the budget and operating costs.
