Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking an Assistant Transportation Supervisor to oversee the facility's transportation operations and staff. You will help ensure proper scheduling of officers, readiness of vehicles, and custody of detainees, with the ability to assume duties of Transportation Officer when necessary.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with management, maintaining DOT compliance, and supporting documentation and billing processes.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of transportation experience.
• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service and Vehicle inspections.
• Proven leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to write reports, memos, policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with computers and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising transportation operations and personnel.
• Schedule Transportation Officers and monitor movements to ensure safety and custody.
• May perform duties of Transportation Officer when needed.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance schedules and repairs meet company standards.
• Maintain DOT files and regulatory knowledge; attend transportation/regulatory training.
• Support monthly billing and record keeping; manage incidents and reports.
