Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five to seven years of directly related experience required in a management role.
• Experience in using and managing Variable Production Systems and schedules.
• Strong presentation, communication, training and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
• Proven success in improving work processes and leading change in a complex, fast environment.
• Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budget.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations.
• Strong knowledge of GMP and HACCP guideline.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
• Demonstrable record of understanding and meeting customer expectations.
• Proven track record of understanding the drivers of product and labor cost variances.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
• Must have Valid DL.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
• Must have understanding of food safety, regulatory compliance, and GMP.
• Previous supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage a department with regards to daily hours, schedules, productivity, quality and safety.
• Manage department costs to budget through manpower planning, scheduling and overtime usage.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, safety, health, environmental and other regulations.
• Ensure on-time production in the preparation of food/equipment and catering of flights.
• Investigate customer quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Attend daily operations briefing.
• Ensure par levels of customer inventory and goods.
• Provide data for annual business plan and budgeting for the department.
• Optimize deployment of human, technical and material resources.
• Initiate and control continuous optimization of processes.
• Leadership: guide, motivate and develop staff under HR policy.
• Participate in GPS coaching and career development activities.
• Live company values and management principles in the department.
• Plan and control cost budget; steer corrective actions for deviations.
• Support initiatives such as GQS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety.
