Job summary

Ascentek is seeking a Transportation Manager in Minnesota to lead planning, routing and oversight of transportation operations. You will direct supervisors and drivers to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective deliveries while maintaining DOT, OSHA and HAZMAT compliance.

Strong leadership and analytics are essential to build high-performing teams. You will monitor performance metrics, improve delivery efficiency, and partner with leaders to align policies.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and retain supervisors and drivers to build a strong transportation team.
• Develop and maintain performance metrics to drive operational results.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead ongoing evaluations and annual performance reviews for transportation staff.
• Guide, plan, organize and motivate team members to achieve goals and deliver results.
• Improve delivery efficiency and reduce transportation costs through process improvements.
• Partner with leaders across the business to align policies and objectives.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Analyze financial data to manage expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Drive analytics and KPI development to track transportation performance.
• Ensure fleet operations are supported by effective maintenance programs.
• Promote collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement within the transportation team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
