Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to directly supervise a team of Drivers and ensure safe, timely deliveries. The role requires overseeing routing, dispatch procedures, and DOT compliance while coordinating with distribution center teams.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in transport management within food distribution, knowledge of DOT regs, and proficiency in AS/400 or routing software, plus MS Office basics. Flexibility to work varied schedules is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• AS/400 experience is preferred.
• Truck routing software experience preferred.
• Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule.
• Basic competency with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision for a group of Drivers.
• Ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries via routing and dispatch procedures.
• Review driver logs and DOT compliance requirements.
• Coordinate activities with other distribution center departments.
• Handle additional duties and special projects as assigned.
