Job summary

Pacific Recycling, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee daily operations, safety, and performance of our transportation network.

This hands-on leadership role combines dispatch duties with carrier management, cost control, and process improvement. You will lead a team of dispatchers, coordinate trucking, railcars, containers, and drop boxes; build strong vendor relationships; ensure compliance and timely problem resolution; and collaborate across departments to meet company

Qualifications

• 3+ years in transportation, logistics or related field.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trucking ops, scheduling, and carrier relations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation activities including trucking, rail, and containers.
• Dispatch and allocate workload across dispatchers.
• Manage railcar orders, tracking, and timely car releases.
• Oversee container transport, scheduling, and port appointments.
• Escalate and resolve transportation issues promptly.
• Collaborate with maintenance for equipment availability.
• Monitor costs and carrier performance to cut expenses.
