Job summary

Sterling Elite Inc. in New York, NY, is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to manage the fleet, schedule routes, and ensure compliance with regulations. This full-time role focuses on safe, timely deliveries and maintaining vehicle and driver performance records.

You will lead daily operations, coordinate with dispatch, conduct safety inspections, and train new drivers. A bachelor’s degree in transportation or logistics and 3–5 years of supervision experience are preferred; CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in transportation supervision or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation logistics including route planning, dispatching and fleet management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• CDL is a plus and familiarity with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the transportation department, ensuring vehicles are maintained and drivers trained.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatchers for timely and efficient deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve transportation-related issues or accidents.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits; maintain accurate maintenance and driver records.
• Provide training to new drivers and team members; collaborate with logistics to optimize routes and reduce costs.
