As Transportation Supervisor, you will oversee driver activities, schedule routes, and coordinate with dispatchers. You'll also monitor vehicle maintenance and fuel levels, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Daily tasks include performance reviews, incident reporting, and fleet management.

You will work in a team environment at our New York office, collaborating with dispatchers, mechanics, and drivers. The workplace is in New York City, NY, with a focus on logistics and transportation management.

The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $56,163 per year, with the exact amount dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring vehicles are in optimal condition and drivers are following safety protocols.
• Schedule and assign routes to drivers, considering factors such as delivery deadlines, traffic conditions, and driver availability.
• Monitor driver performance, providing feedback and support to help them improve and meet their targets.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and driver performance, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, maintaining strong communication channels.
• Investigate and resolve any issues or accidents involving our vehicles or drivers, ensuring a safe and incident-free operation.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve our operations and maintain compliance.
• Train and mentor new drivers, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Transportation Supervisor or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with drivers and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Familiarity with transportation management software and systems is a plus.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the business.
