The daily dispatching role encompasses load planning, route utilization, and main customer contact, with focus on DOT compliance, safety, and KPI reporting. The position includes driver coaching for retention and coordinating payroll confirmation and service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years in the transportation industry.
• 5+ years developing talent in managers.
• 5+ years managing to a P&L.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• AS400, Omnitracs, TMW and Geotab experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch drivers and manage daily run schedules.
• Coordinate load planning and route utilization.
• Ensure DOT compliance and safety standards.
• Coach and develop management talent.
• Monitor communications with customers and drivers.
• Review invoices and payroll as needed.
• Maintain KPI reporting and performance records.
• Oversee maintenance coordination and service restoration.
• Maintain customer relationships and service levels.
