Job summary

UNFI in Spokane, WA is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to supervise drivers and staff in the Transportation Department. This role implements schedules, coordinates daily functions, and communicates changes to customers and internal teams to keep operations efficient.

The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation, a Class A CDL, and the ability to lead and motivate a team while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising drivers and staff in transportation
• Strong leadership and communication skills with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety policies
• Ability to manage schedules and daily department functions

Responsibilities

• Route and schedule loads efficiently for distribution
• Ensure on-time deliveries and proper product condition
• Coordinate with Warehouse for delivery timing
• Assign drivers to loads while ensuring compliance with company and DOT guidelines
• Maintain positive relations with store management and customer destinations
• Train drivers and staff; conduct road tests and qualifications
• Handle administrative duties with accuracy and attention to detail
• Support other duties as needed
