Job summary

Chewy, a leading online pet retailer, seeks a Transportation Manager to lead the outbound transportation team in Reno. You will direct Transportation Coordinators and Switcher Drivers, acting as the onsite liaison to FC AMs and OMs while driving safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

You will train and motivate staff, analyze data for improvements, and partner with carriers to ensure daily service quality and cost control.

Qualifications

1-3 years’ supervisory experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution.
Excellent social skills, oral and written communication, and strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Webex; Tableau and SQL knowledge preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Lead the scheduling of Transportation Coordinators and Switcher Drivers to meet FC needs.
Coordinate safety, training, and certification for the Switcher Program.
Train and mentor TCs to meet safety, quality and efficiency metrics.
Support local carrier relationships to provide daily service and feedback.
Review weekly Kronos timesheets and vendor invoices in Oracle.
Be the onsite Transportation liaison to FC AMs and OMs and resolve issues.
