Job summary

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking an Office Engineer to support major transportation construction projects in Connecticut.

The role focuses on project documentation, reporting, and coordination across teams to ensure swift, accurate communications and compliance with CTDOT procedures. The incumbent will track technical documents, prepare reports and logs, and maintain audit-ready files while collaborating with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or NICET II/III in Highway or Transportation Inspection.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in construction office engineering or infrastructure documentation with field inspection.
• CTDOT project experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction documentation: RFIs, RFCs, submittals, drawings, contracts, and correspondence.
• Track and distribute technical documents using AASHTOWare and COMPASS.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports, meeting minutes, and change order logs.
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, contractors, and clients.
• Support pay estimates and schedule updates in CTDOT procedures.
• Maintain audit-ready project files.
